Press release writing and distribution for online stores
Announcements for launches, partnerships and original data, written and sent to outlets that cover your category.
A press release works for an online store only when there is something to announce: a product launch, a partnership, a retail expansion, a charity drive, or a study built from your own sales or customer data. We write the release, build a target list of journalists and publications in your category, and distribute it.
Links in wire-distributed releases usually carry nofollow and do little for rankings on their own. The value comes from pickups on real news and industry sites, and from the brand mentions that search engines and AI assistants can read. We report each pickup with its URL and the exact wording used about your brand.
Who this is for
Stores with real news: a new product line, a retail or marketplace launch, a partnership, a funding round, an award, or a study built from your own sales or customer data. If none of those apply yet, we will tell you to wait.
What you get
- Release copy based on facts you approve
- A media list for your category
- Distribution and follow-up with journalists
- A report listing every pickup and link
How it works
-
1
Find the story
We ask what is new and checkable, then decide whether it is a press release, a pitch to one journalist, or not news yet.
-
2
Write and approve
We draft from facts you supply, you approve every claim and quote, and nothing goes out unapproved.
-
3
Distribute and pitch
We send it through a wire service where it suits the story, and pitch relevant journalists directly.
-
4
Report
You receive each pickup with its URL, the wording about your brand, and whether the link is followed.
What we need from you
- A fact sheet or launch details
- Approval of quotes and claims
- Product images you have rights to
What we do not do
- Write releases with no news in them
- Promise coverage in a named outlet
- Invent quotes, awards or statistics
Press releases questions
The number depends on the story and the outlets that cover your category, and we do not promise one. Some releases earn several pickups, some earn none beyond the wire page. We report what happened for each release.
A release can include links, but those on wire pages are usually nofollow. Backlinks that help most come from journalists who write about you on their own sites. The release is mainly the way to reach them.
Send one when you have news, which for most stores is a few times a year. Sending routine releases dilutes the ones that matter and trains journalists to ignore you.
